The great mountain world of the Himalaya
Breathtaking is perhaps an understatement when describing this bike trip linking two of the world's most exotic capital cities. We will begin this odyssey after four days in Lhasa, which will enable you to acclimate and visit many of the city's beautiful temples and palaces. Monastery towns line our route as we travel westward parallel to the towering Himalayan Range, camping alongside nomads and their families.
Through the course of our journey, we will negotiate six high mountain passes, reaching elevations of almost 18,000 feet. An unforgettable descent will bring us from the rocky Tibetan Plateau down into the lush green landscape of Nepal.
ITINERARY:
Day 01: Arrival - Lhasa
Upon arrival at the Gongga airport or the railway station of Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, transfer to the hotel. 3N at 3*Thangka Hotel
Day 02-03: Lhasa
Two full days on our cycle to visit in and around Lhasa with our guide. Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Drepung Monastery, and Sera Monastery with an excursion to Norbulingka, the Summer Palace of the Dalai Lama. (B/L)

Lhasa (3650m) - Chushur (60km, 3590m). Camping (B/L/D)
Day 05: Bike Tour Today
Bike Chushur (3590m) - Kampala Pass (4790m) - Baidi (44km+26km, 4450m). Camping (B/L/D)
Day 06: Bike Tour Today
Bike Baidi – Karola (5110m) - Longma (59km+21km, 4200m). Camping (B/L/D)
Day 07: Bike Tour Today
Bike Longma - Gyantse (70km, 4020m). 1N at 2-star Jianzang Hotel with private bathroom and shower (B/L/D)
Day 08: Bike Tour Today
Bike Gyantse (tour Pelkhor Monastery) - Shigatse (94km, 3840m). 1N at a 3-star hotel in Shigatse with private bathroom and shower (B/L/D)
Day 09: Bike Tour Today
Bike Shigatse (visit Tashilunpo Monastery) - Jiding (51km, 3910m). Camping (B)
Day 10: Bike Tour Today
Bike Jiding - Younongla Pass (61km, 4500m). Camping (B/L/D)

Bike Younongla – Lhatse (4030m) - Gyatsola Pass (38km+32km, 5260m). Camping (B/L/D)

Bike Pang La – (70km bike) - Rongbuk Monastery (7km trekking, 4960m) – Everest Base Camp (5160m) – (tour van) – Rongbuk (4960m). Camping (B/L/D)

Bike Rongbuk - Old Tingri (70km, 4350m). Camping (B/L/D)
Day 15: Bike Tour Today
Bike Old Tingri – Nyalam (80km, 4600m). Camping (B/L/D)
Day 16: Bike Nyalam - Milarepa Cave - Zhangmu (109km, 2200m). 1N at the simple Zhangmu Caiyuyan Hotel with private bathroom and shower (B/L/D)
Day 17: Bike Zhangmu – Kodari border – Dhulikhel: after custom formalities at Zhangmu we will enter in Nepal at Kodari, ride to Dhulikhel. 1N at Dhulikhel Lodge Resort (B/L/D)
Day 18: Dhulikhel – Kathmandu: After breakfast ride to Kathmandu. 2N im 3*Nirvana Garden Hotel (B/L)
Day 19: Kathmandu: free. (B)
Day 20: Free until transfer to airport, fly back home. (B)
